Lire Seul Dans Ma Chambre
This poem is the fifth installment of the 'Walking In My Own Shadows' miniseries.

A cool breeze kisses my crossed legs and chin,as if to pass along the warmth of the sun;that sun that now caresses my elbow as I sit.A light that now rests atop my quilted beddingcasting silhouettes across its intricate surface.A sizable tome, and its numerous leafs aplenty, lies sprawled open for all literary eyes to see.Words engraving themselves within my mind—inked words, with many tropes and pragmatism;tales of unsung heroes, and chivalrous maidens.Fire cracks and sizzles with tasteful ambiance, filling a reader’s palate with heartfelt radiance.Page after page these inked words are read, from night until dawn and from dawn till bed.The last word held by a benchmark in its stead. When eyes are lulled to a precocious dream, they dream of magic, and an adventurous regime.
